Auxiliary Bishop Herman Hayes Jr.

Bishop Designate Herman Hayes Jr. is a native of El Dorado, Arkansas, and was reared under the tutelage of two generations of the Church Of God In Christ. He is the second of eighteen children. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1972, and was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, under the leadership of Superintendent Lennie Clemons, at the Wesson Street Church of God in El Dorado, Arkansas. There, he served in many capacities: Chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday School Superintendent, Y.P.W.W. President, and Chairman of Finance. Bishop Designate Hayes was called to the ministry in 1979 and received his minister license in 1984 and was ordained in 1990, by Bishop D. I. Lindsey. Bishop Designate Hayes started Pastoring at the New Jerusalem Church Of God In Christ, in Magnolia, Arkansas, in 1991, where God's Anointing moved in a great and mighty way, Later, in 2007 the Lord moved on him to start a church, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He became the pastor and founder of the New Beginning Church Of God In Christ. He still pastors both churches. He was appointed by Bishop D. I. Lindsey, to be the Superintendent of the Magnolia East District and currently serves as First Administrative Assistant and Finance Chairman in the Fourth Jurisdiction of Arkansas, under the leadership of Bishop J. E. Williams. Bishop Designate Hayes was also honored to serve on the board for Bishop C. H. Mason Birthday Celebration. He is a 1970 Graduate from the EI Dorado High School and attended South Arkansas Community College. He served as a member of the F.A.C.T, Inc. Policy Council for several years. Bishop Designate Hayes volunteered and supplied food and clothing to peoples in the communities. In 1971, he married his high school sweetheart Lady Delores Terrell Hayes.
